What helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine survive at the beginning of the war/Channel 24
According to intelligence, Russia has also faced a problem – the occupiers do not have enough drones. Military personnel of various ranks who have combat experience abroad unanimously claim that Russia does not know how to fight by modern standards.
Rostislav Smirnov, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, spoke about this. He also added that in more than one intercepted call, we heard how the Russians do not understand how our defenders skillfully control UAVs and destroy them so powerfully. And all because they are fighting on the model of the Second World War.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are now fighting very mobile, unlike the enemy. The occupiers still think they can “suffocate” our defenses with just more “cannon fodder”, explains the adviser to the Minister of the Interior.
The specifics of Russia's new war against Ukraine
Rostislav Smirnov explains why our military needs so many cars – this is because the car provides our defenders with quick tasks and increased mobility.
“So far, the enemy the tank will turn around and fire, our cars quickly hit the target and left. This is our advantage, if we met the invaders in an open field, then yes, the advantage is on the side of the enemy, “says Monastyrsky's adviser.
But having this mobility, a wide reconnaissance network – drones, copters, thermal imagers from volunteers, our Armed Forces get a powerful tactical advantage. – explains Smirnov.
“We also partly believed in the myth of the “second army of the world”, but when our guys saw them burn and run away from the battlefield, we had an understanding that it was fashionable to fight them and destroy effectively. This myth was destroyed by the forces of our defenders,” says the adviser to the Minister of the Interior.
According to Smirnov, we have an insane motivation to repel our territory and drive out the enemy. We will fight with them until the complete liberation of our territories.
A similar thesis was expressed by a member of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks with Russia, Mikhail Podolyak. On his Twitter, an adviser to the head of the President's Office wrote that if you listen to experts, then Ukraine “should freeze three times in winter, and be left without electricity in March.” At the same time, according to similar forecasts, “the Russian flag would have fluttered” over half of the country.
