Mass protests continue in Bashkortostan. After the end of the action against the verdict of Fail Alsynov in Baymak, a new one broke out in the capital of the republic – Ufa.

Political scientist Oleg Lesnoy commented 24 Channel unrest in Russia. In his opinion, one should not place high hopes on these events, as well as on the Russian people.

“This is all dangerous for Putin on the eve of the elections. But I want to say that Bashkortostan is definitely not the Maidan,” stated Lesnoy.

  • Adviser to the head of the OPU Mikhail Podolyak believes that the unrest can become large-scale. They will probably entail a redistribution of influences and renewal of the system.
  • National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexei Danilov suggested that protests in Bashkiria could lead to the collapse of Russia in the near future. Therefore, the West must prepare for this.
  • Ukrainian intelligence representative Andrei Yusov noted that the events in Bashkiria are a form of civil protest. They can cover the entire territory of Russia, because representatives of national minorities do not want to die in Ukraine.
