On Thursday, March 2, a provocation took place in the Bryansk region, in which the Kremlin wanted to blame Ukraine. Since Ukraine is indifferent to events in Russia, Ukrainians simply laughed at the absurdity of Russian clowning.
Political scientist Valentin Gladkikh told Channel 24 about this. According to him, by arranging this performance, the Russians did not want to please the Ukrainians, but this is the only thing they managed to do.
What did Putin want?
Valentin Gladkikh believes that the fake about the Ukrainian DRG in the Bryansk region is a way to dehumanize the enemy. Vladimir Putin used the same method in the Second Chechen War, when he staged terrorist attacks and, having played on this, came to power.
According to the organizers of these performances, this should unite the Russian society, explain to them why this “special military operation” was necessary, they say, look how bloodthirsty these Ukrainians are, what they are doing,” Gladkikh noted.
According to the political scientist, Russia can use this action to advance to the Western or Eastern audience in order to demonstrate that the Ukrainians are allegedly so insidious and support terrorism.
“It was so awkwardly done that it causes nothing but sarcasm and irony. Even if we are happy with this, it is only because of how awkwardly the Russians did it,” the political scientist said.
Ukraine does not need it
Valentin Gladkikh is convinced that Ukraine has nothing to do with the events in the Bryansk region, since it did not receive any benefit from this. Blaming the alleged entry of the Ukrainian DRG into the Bryansk region, the Russians wanted to frame Ukraine, but could not do it.

The political scientist also does not exclude that it could be a movement of partisans who are tired of Putin's regime. In any case, Ukraine is not interested in events of this nature that took place in the territory controlled by the Moscow regime.
Gladkikh suggested that Ukraine could have made an explosion at an airfield or at another strategic facility, but Ukraine is not interested in a situation where, without a clear goal, the DRG seems to enter and then leave without detaining anyone, and the Russian “media” disperse the hysteria and publishing conflicting information.
What happened in the Bryansk region
- On March 2, 2023, the Russian “media” began to publish news about the Ukrainian DRG, which allegedly entered the Bryansk region, took civilians hostage, fired at a civilian car and killed people.
- On the same day, the Russian Volunteer Corps published a video message in which its military said they had come to liberate Russia from the criminal Putin regime.
- The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense stated that in Russia the number of people who are ready to resist the Putin regime and fight for the liberation of their country is growing. It looks like a civil war is brewing in Russia.
