This is good for us: why Putin began to threaten Finland

by alex

Vladimir Putin still cannot recover from Finland's accession to NATO. The Russian dictator believes that the country was “dragged” into the Alliance, so now it “will have problems.”

In particular, Putin threatened the creation of the Leningrad Military District. Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman said Channel 24 that this is beneficial for Ukraine.

“This means the formation of some new divisions, new troops. This is to our advantage, because it means stretching the Russian army,” Sheitelman explained.

That is, the forces that Russia could transfer to Ukraine will be deployed on the border with Finland. At the same time, Helsinki is also not sitting idly by – on November 30, the country closed all motor vehicle checkpoints on the border with the aggressor.

Russian threats to NATO are not empty

The Kremlin has not abandoned its aggressive plans to restore the USSR – the only question is the timing. Therefore, NATO and EU countries must strengthen the military-industrial complex.

And this is all good for us again. This means that Europe’s military industry will grow, we will receive more weapons, we, together with Europe, will be better protected from Russia,” Sheitelman emphasized.

But the most important thing is different. The West is fully aware that if Ukraine loses, it will be next. But he is still able to prevent this – to do more to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Relations between NATO and Russia: the latest news

  • ISW analysts reported that Vladimir Putin is committed to the structural and ideological defeat of NATO. It is likely that the Russian dictator will use hybrid warfare for this purpose.
  • In this context, mention should be made of Russia's numerous provocations in order to test the Alliance's reaction. In particular, such cases include the aggravation of the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border as a result of the movement of the Wagnerites.
  • At the same time, NATO will not wait for Russia to renew its army. The North Atlantic Alliance is focused on the security of the Baltic countries.
