“This is an argument”: will Lukashenka enter the war after the “clap” in Machulishchi

by alex

On February 26, several explosions thundered at the Belarusian military airfield in Machulishchi, it was reported that a Russian aircraft was damaged. Obviously, this indicates the disagreement of Belarusians with the political course chosen by the self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko.

This was told to Channel 24 by a military expert, head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko. He is convinced that Lukashenka does not plan to enter the war against Ukraine, realizing that Russia is becoming weaker every day.

Musiyenko noted that obviously there are partisans in Belarus who do not agree with the political vector that Belarus has chosen for itself. These are the internal problems of the country, which must be solved there.

Lukashenka led to the fact that he has such an opposition, so these political factors will intensify repressions against his own, the expert added.

Will Belarus enter the war

There were fears that such events could become an additional argument by Vladimir Putin for Lukashenka to enter the war against Ukraine. Musienko is convinced that this will become more of a counterargument.

This will be an argument for Lukashenka not to enter the war, because he sees how weakened his partner and the state, which is forcing him to this entry. This state is getting closer to defeat,” the speaker emphasized.

He is convinced that if Lukashenka has been avoiding entering the war for so long, now he will definitely not do this.

Explosions in Machulishchi: what is known

  • Belarusian partisans were involved in the explosions at the airfield. They claim to have damaged the front and center of the aircraft, including the radar antenna and avionics.
  • The cost of one such aircraft is estimated at about 330 million dollars. This is an extraordinary loss for the occupiers.
  • Belarusian activists are sure that two UAVs were involved in the explosions at the airfield in the village of Machulishchi. Probably, it was they who damaged the Russian aircraft DRLS A-50.
  • Subsequently, Lukashenka held a meeting with the leaders of law enforcement agencies, he demanded “the most severe” discipline, with particular emphasis on the border.
