Russia often commits provocations in different cities of Ukraine. Thus, propaganda statements have recently been made that supposedly the Ukrainian Armed Forces will shell Russian cities. They actually create such fictions not for the world, but for the Russians themselves.
This was told to Channel 24 by the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Rostislav Smirnov.
Why does Russia continue provocations
According to him, Russia is not really talking about such provocations to Ukrainians or to the whole world.
This is a completely isolated country, as it should be. This is a terrorist country. Its main task is to “sell” this (such fakes and provocations – Channel 24) to its citizens. They “sell” everything they talk about, Smirnov believes.
In his opinion, the Russians do not carry any message to the world or European leaders, all their statements are made for their people so that the Russians continue to think that “they are strong”, “they hold everyone” and the like.
“They “sell” their history to the Russians, because they can't” sell “to anyone else. The whole other world understood that” the king is naked “and showed who he really is. He showed his army, which has no motivation” , – stressed the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Smirnov added that, probably, the key history from the first days of the war, which changed the course of events, is when the Armed Forces of Ukraine started massively break the columns of the invaders.
“We saw that they can be broken, their columns and tanks burn beautifully, they escape well. The myth that they are the “second army of the world” has simply disappeared”, he concluded.
