The Ministry of Defense reported that Denmark Launchers “Harpoon”. They are enough to unblock the Black Sea.
A very effective weapon
Considering that Ukraine does not have a submarine fleet, there is, accordingly, a problem with aircraft, so the question arose of logistics and a country that would make it possible to supply this particular weapon to land-based ones. Military expert Dmitry Snegirev told Channel 24 about this.
According to him, there are several types of Harpoons:
- air-based;
- underwater;
- ship.
Moreover, as he emphasized, the weapons we received are very effective weapons. The range of defeat is up to 125 kilometers. Although other Harpoon classifications have a range of up to 300 kilometers.
We would be happy to receive more powerful weapons, but even this is enough to unblock the Black Sea, – the expert emphasized.
It can sink the entire Russian fleet
“Harpoons” are enough to sink the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet. And most importantly, they will reduce the possibility of landing operations on the Black Sea coast.
“As far as I understand, the Russian Black Sea Fleet can receive a powerful response in the direction of the movement of Russian ships. This is a universal weapon against which the Russians do not have a qualified response” , he stressed.

What is known about Harpoon missiles
- Harpoon anti-ship missiles are among the most widespread in the world. They are equipped with active radar homing systems and have an ultra-low flight path.
- There are two options for using Harpoon missiles – launch by bearing and range or launch by range. In the first case, it is necessary to know the exact location of the target so that the missile remains unnoticed by hostile air defense systems for a long time.
- In the second version, the missile is launched in the direction of the supposed location of the enemy ship, and the homing head turns on immediately and independently searches for the target.
Attention! The Ministry of Defense demonstrated how Harpoons work and how they threaten the Russian fleet. They added that now other Russian ships will follow the cruiser Moskva to the bottom of the Black Sea.
