Short version of the news

The destruction of the oil refining system in Russia, the destruction of military units and enemy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is a significant factor weakening the combat capabilities of the Russians. This lays the foundation for future promising counter-offensive actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This opinion 24 Channel was expressed by military expert Vladislav Seleznev, noting that it is quite easy for the enemy to restore concrete structures. But restoring the equipment that is responsible for oil refining is more difficult.

“The enemy also feels the pressure of the sanctions policy, and he is forced to implement some other alternative options for purchasing the relevant equipment. Such attacks on Russian oil refinery facilities will occur regularly, and the enemy will lose resources,” noted the military expert.

There are many oil refining facilities in Russia. However, losses of at least 10% of the industrial and production capabilities of refineries are already recorded there. This is not only fuel for the Russian army, but also corresponding revenues to the Russian budget.

Its total principal is about $320 billion. If the enemy loses at least part of these resources, there is a possibility that either the Russian budget will allocate less money for the army, or less for certain social programs, Seleznev added.

This may lead to certain negative consequences among Russian society.

In order for now to radically change the situation on the battlefield, the Ukrainian military needs to systematically and methodically destroy both the military and economic potential of the Russian army. The long-range, high-precision missiles that Ukraine receives from its allies will help here.
