This is a fiasco for us, – political scientist about a possible threatening proposal from the IAEA

The IAEA mission, which, despite the shelling, hit the Zaporozhye NPP, must draw certain conclusions. There is a possibility that the delegation may make a threatening proposal.

This Channel 24 was told by political scientist Andrey Vigirinsky. According to him, we believe that the ultimate goal of the arrival of the IAEA mission is the creation of a demilitarized zone.

“For us, this is actually a fiasco”

Vigirinsky noted that we need to be prepared for this, for the fact that among the proposals of the IAEA following its visit to the Zaporozhye NPP, a thesis may appear that was promoted by certain representatives of the United States of America.

According to him, this thesis about that from the point of view of nuclear security for Ukraine, part of Russia and, in particular, Turkey, if it is not possible to reach agreements on demilitarization, it will be safer to stop the operation of the Zaporozhye station.

For us, this is almost a fiasco. Because we are expecting, and against the backdrop of the arrival of the IAEA, our information resources, the main intelligence department and the military-political leadership said that the ultimate goal of the IAEA's arrival is the creation of a demilitarized zone, at least within a radius of 10 kilometers around the Zaporizhzhya NPP. – said the political scientist.

He stressed that the creation of a demilitarized zone should provide that there will be no representatives of the “rosaty” or Russian armed forces.

“This threat has existed for at least 6 months”

Vigirinsky considers it extremely unlikely that Russia will withdraw its troops based on the IAEA report that the presence of its army and military equipment on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant poses a threat to nuclear safety.

This threat has existed for at least 6 months. And if Russia were aware of this and would be ready to do it for the sake of the global security system, then it would have already done all this. And, in fact, the war did not even start, – he said.

The political scientist added that, nevertheless, one should not exclude the moment associated with bargaining. That is, the Russians can about the possibility of withdrawing troops and make a “goodwill gesture” in the direction of creating a demilitarized zone, but they will ask for something.

Pay attention! The Russian military, who occupied the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, removed all military equipment from the nuclear power plant. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in connection with the arrival of the IAEA mission, about 100 pieces of equipment were withdrawn from the ZNPP, which the occupiers had mined. >
