A large number of people are already working on the restoration of Ukraine after the war. The government is discussing the sources of filling the program.

It is not yet known whether this will be a new “Marshall Plan” or another program for Ukraine. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in an interview.

This is a big program that a huge number of people are actively working on. Here and urgent restoration, for example, blown up bridges. Also helping the economy, building new enterprises, building renovated settlements after destruction,” Shmyhal said.

Therefore, the government plans to create a single platform for these purposes.

Where will Ukraine get the money for restoration?

Now Ukraine is discussing the financial aspect of this platform. In particular, the German finance minister is proposing a European COVID Recovery Fund, to which countries should contribute 800 billion euros. This money can be partially or completely directed to the restoration of Ukraine.

There are also other initiatives of the European Union and individual proposals of countries. In addition, the arrested funds of Russia can be used for restoration.

“There are companies that want to move production bases from the aggressor country to Ukraine in the future,” Shmyhal added.

He noted that the task of the government is to combine all these potential resources into one clear and understandable plan.
