Belarus has received a batch of Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia, which will allegedly protect Minsk. Moreover, Moscow has modified the systems based on their experience of use in the war against Ukraine.

It is unknown how many Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems Belarus has received. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.

It has become known that another battery of Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems has arrived in Belarus. The department stated that they received modified versions from Russia, saying that Moscow took into account the “experience of using the installations” in the war in Ukraine.

The batteries that Belarus received are capable of simultaneously hitting 16 targets that attack from different directions at a speed of up to 730 meters per second, at a range of up to 12 kilometers and an altitude of up to 10 kilometers, both day and night, in any weather conditions. As stated by the country's Defense Ministry, the Tor-2 will protect Minsk.

However, the Defense Ministry did not explain what scared Belarus, that they decided to strengthen their defense. Perhaps this is due to the fact that recently the “Shaheds” launched over the territory of Ukraine are increasingly flying into the territory of Belarus.
