< p _ngcontent-sc137="" class="news-annotation">In June, the President signed into law the Waste Management Act. The first project implemented as part of the reform is the construction of 2 waste processing plants in the Kyiv region.
In his social networks, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets announced the start of the waste management reform. The law was adopted 2.5 months ago.
The first major investment project
Residents of the Kyiv region will be the first to feel the waste management reform in action. September 8, a number of officials of the region, namely:
- Aleksey Kuleba – head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration;
- Vladimir Borisenko – mayor of Boryspil;
- Igor Sapozhko – mayor Brovaryov;
- Mikhail Netyazhuk, mayor of Fastov,
– signed a memorandum of cooperation, thereby actually securing an agreement to build waste processing plants.
Salvation environment
According to Sagittarius, the implementation of the project will help protect the environment:
We are finally starting to overcome the trash invasion. For our goal is a clean environment and a clean Europe,” the minister said.
Two plants will be built on the territory of Boryspil, Brovary and Fastiv communities. Their greatest feature and innovativeness is the use of several processing technologies at once, in particular:
- processing of food waste with subsequent production of biomethane;
- deep sorting of waste with the release of valuable materials – metal, glass and plastic.
Technology and investment capacity
The capacity of the joint plant for the Brovary and Boryspil communities will be approximately 110 – 120 thousand tons of waste per year. In the Fastiv community – 35 – 100 thousand.
The project is planned to be implemented in 2 years.
It is planned that the factories will be built using loans from European banks. However, now only negotiations with investors are underway.
Waste processing plants throughout Ukraine
In addition, the Minister of Environmental Protection stressed that in the near future there will be waste processing facilities throughout our state.
We carried out analytical work and formed a plan for the placement of waste processing facilities. This is a kind of map on which more than 200 potential projects are identified.
In particular, in the Kyiv region, in addition to 2 waste processing plants, they plan to build up to 10 new enterprises.
An environmental disaster from -for the Russians
It is important to note that the Ukrainian ecology is also suffering because of the Russian invaders. Earlier it became known about the dried-up lakes of academician Zaitsev in the Odessa region.
Also, in the summer, news began to appear from Mariupol, temporarily captured by the Russians, that landfills were burning in the city and the invaders were not extinguishing them.
Putin's soldiers do not know the elementary rules of environmental conservation: they arrange dumps in the courtyards of high-rise buildings.
