On Friday, September 8, the Romanian National Committee for Emergency Situations decided to strengthen measures to protect the population in areas near Ukrainian ports on the Danube, which are regularly shelled by the Russian Federation.

The committee's decision authorizes the Ministry of National Defense to identify areas on the Romanian bank of the Danube, opposite the Ukrainian ports of Reni and Izmail, which are being bombarded by the Russians.
