Counterintelligence of the SBU, together with the National Police of Ukraine and the Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova, neutralized an international criminal group that was engaged in transporting drug evaders abroad.
The route of illegal traffic ran from the territory of the Odessa region to the self-proclaimed Transnistria, and then to the territory of Moldova.

The criminals drove their clients to the border with the unrecognized Transnistria, and then took them along forest paths outside checkpoints.
– As a result of a joint special operation, law enforcement officers detained two gang members in Moldova while they were accompanying a group of drug evaders. Two more defendants were exposed in Odessa when they were preparing a new batch of potential conscripts to be sent abroad, the SBU said.
According to the investigation, the criminal group was organized by two residents of the unrecognized Transnistria, who have Ukrainian and Moldovan passports, and are also in the field of view of the Russian special services.
They attracted accomplices from Moldova and Ukraine to create an illegal migration channel.
To find clients, the defendants created several specialized Telegram channels, where for money they offered their assistance in escaping from mobilization in our state.

To conceal illegal income, gang members demanded that evaders pay for services through their own crypto-wallets.
Based on the materials of the joint investigation, it is planned to inform all members of the group of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 332 Criminal Code (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine).
