A volunteer from Kherson managed to get out of the temporarily occupied city. For several days she traveled to the safe territory of Ukraine.

Irina Salikhova told how it all happened on the air of Channel 24. She shared that it was very difficult to get out of the city.

How many roadblocks there were

It took the volunteer 4 days to get to the safe area. By the time she was driving, there were about 8 roadblocks. However, later their number increased.

While we were driving, they (checkpoints – 24 channels) were being completed behind us. People coming after us called different numbers. Someone called 20, someone even 70,” Salikhova shared.

What the infidels checked

According to the volunteer, at some checkpoints they let people pass quite quickly – they only checked the trunk and documents.

In other points, except for checking documents, they rummaged through phones. We even went to the “trash” of the smartphone with deleted files.
