Russia continues to recruit mercenaries. This time, they are trying to attract those who are planning to be sent to Africa with money, as well as with conditional security, when compared with the war against Ukraine.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region spoke about this in more detail. The intelligence agency noted that Russia is engaged in the formation of detachments of so-called “military instructors.” Subsequently, they plan to send them to the territory of African countries.

How they lure future mercenaries

< p>It is known that Moscow is also conducting recruiting in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, on the Crimean peninsula.

According to available information, the contracts are proposed to be signed by the military reserves of the Russian occupation army. We are talking about:

• specialists in servicing Russian-made air defense systems;
• military sailors;
• some other specialists in the military-technical sphere.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the transactions are designed for several years. They promise wages comparable to the monetary support of the occupiers who are now fighting against Ukraine, but there is one “but”.

Moscow is trying to attract mercenaries not only to high salary plans. They also promise the opportunity to avoid participation in the war against Ukraine, which implies high risks of death.

The intelligence department outlines the purpose of sending the relevant contingent. They say that Moscow sees in this an expansion of its own influence in Africa.
