In 2024, the Ukrainian government plans to allocate about 48 billion UAH to finance the Drone Army. They want to spend the same amount on the production of weapons and ammunition.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal announced this today at a press conference.

– The emphasis of our production is drones . The Ukrainian Drone Army is fully launched and working. UAH 40 billion was financed by the government this year. We will continue this funding,” he emphasized.

Shmygal clarified that funds will be allocated for the production of ammunition, military equipment, armored vehicles and the Ukrainian missile program.

According to calculations, for 2023 the amount of personal income tax will be about 96 billion UAH. These funds will be divided into the defense sector. Approximately half will go to the production of weapons, equipment and ammunition, and the other half to the Drone Army.

As you know, the Drone Army initiative was launched in 2022. During this time, fundraising for drones for the Ukrainian army was supported by donors from dozens of countries and companies. The world's first attack drone companies were formed.

Ukraine also launched its own production of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The government noted that compared to last year, the production of some categories of drones has increased 100 times.

To facilitate the production of drones, VAT and import duties on components have been abolished in Ukraine.
