• The DPRK leader himself does not really want to give up his weapons, because he is preparing to fight, to defend himself and his territory from South Korea. He is convinced that he could be attacked from Seoul at any moment, which is why he created so many artillery weapons and shells for them;
• The position of China, which is unknown whether it will approve such an agreement;
• New sanctions for Kim Jong-in, which he is threatened with if he sells weapons to Russia.

“I think that they threaten him personally with sanctions, and not North Korea. Perhaps they said that they would never give him cognac. He buys cognac, crabs, oysters – all this is very expensive for him and he is not ready to lose it.” , said Mikhail Sheitelman.

What does such an agreement mean for Ukraine

As for the Russian dictator, there is only one limiting factor for him – international sanctions, which he will fall under if he buys weapons. Therefore, even if an agreement between Russia and the DPRK takes place, they will try to hide it.

For Ukraine it will become a serious problem.

Last year, the Russians fired approximately 10 million artillery shells into Ukraine, but only fired 2 million this year, even after increasing their capacity. This suggests that they are not even close to having time to renew what was in warehouses. – the political strategist emphasized.

The shortage of artillery shells is a big problem for Russia, so a replenishment of several million from North Korea would solve the problem for a year, and maybe longer.

“For This is their salvation, because they have no other sources, and for us it will be a great tragedy if the enemy has many times more shells than we have,” Sheitelman noted.

What China is leaning towards

China does not think about the benefits of either Russia or Ukraine. Xi Jinping will discuss the situation with the United States of America and will make a decision based on the results of these negotiations.

“The United States can offer the Chinese or, on the contrary, take it away, so this set of certain agreements can play in one direction or another. But don’t think “that Kim Jong-un is 100% subordinate to China and will do as Xi Jinping says. He will take into account his opinion, but it will not be decisive,” Sheitelman concluded.

Meeting between Putin and Kim Jong-in: what is known

• DPRK leader Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia on September 12 to meet with Vladimir Putin. The next day they went to inspect the Vostochny cosmodrome and discuss important issues, including military-technical cooperation.
