Law enforcement officers exposed and detained a 62-year-old Cherkassy woman and her acquaintance, a 72-year-old Kiev resident, who worked for the occupiers.

The attackers not only justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, but also collected intelligence information about the deployment of the Defense Forces and the consequences of air attacks in Kyiv and Cherkassy.

What is known about the attackers

According to prosecutors, the 62-year-old suspect justified Russian aggression during telephone conversations with her friends in September-October.

In particular, the woman considered the armed aggression of the Russian Federation legitimate and wanted Russian troops to quickly enter Cherkasy.

“The defendant compared Ukrainians with fascists who need to be destroyed, and admired the enemy’s capture of Ukrainian cities,” notes the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The woman also collected and during telephone conversations talked about the location, number of military personnel and military equipment in Cherkassy, and the results of missile attacks on local infrastructure.

In particular, after a Russian missile attack on a hotel in the center of Cherkassy on September 21, a woman took hidden photos of the damaged building and sent them to her accomplice, a 72-year-old Russian citizen living in Kiev .

The man, who, by the way, is a doctor of philosophy and a former teacher at one of Chernigov universities, received a Russian passport in 2015, when he traveled to the still occupied Crimea.

The man tried to bring the “report” with details of the blow from the Cherkassy woman to the Russian Federation.

The defendant intended to enter the territory of Russia through the territory of the EU as a person of non-conscription age.

SBU officers detained the man when he had already purchased tickets to one of the European countries.

A 72-year-old Kiev resident, in conversations with a friend from Cherkassy, also called for the destruction of Ukrainians, the seizure of the state by Russian troops and the delivery of massive attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine.

The detainee, like his friend from Cherkassy, also secretly monitored the locations of the Defense Forces.

Most of all, he was interested in the approximate coordinates of Ukrainian air defense systems, in particular Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.

What was discovered during searches of the defendants?

The following was confiscated from both fans of the “Russian world”:

  • Cell phones,
  • symbols of the aggressor state,
  • T-shirt with dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian slogans,
  • passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation,
