On Independence Day, the invaders launched a missile attack on the village of Chaplino in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result, two children died.
The police opened criminal proceedings. This was announced by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk District Department Valentin Reznichenko.

According to Reznichenko, search and rescue operations are currently ongoing in the village of Chaplino. the Russian attack claimed the lives of more than 20 people, among them two boys – 6 and 11 years old.
They were just playing at home when Russian missiles flew in, the head of the OVA said.
He added that law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings for violating the laws and customs of war.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kirill Timoshenko spoke about the Russian attack on Chaplin. During the day, an enemy missile destroyed a private house. Under the rubble were 3 people – a woman and 2 children.
According to him, a woman and a 13-year-old teenager were saved by local residents. However, the body of the deceased 11-year-old guy was already getting out from under the rubble.
“Later, the enemy attacked the village again – first with one rocket, and then with three more. The first attack damaged the outbuildings of the railway, the subsequent ones – hit the railway station,” added the deputy head of the office.
He added that as a result of the impact, a fire broke out in 5 passenger cars. 21 people were killed and 22 others were injured. Rescuers have already extinguished the fire and are conducting search operations.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Chaplino is the pain of Ukraine today.
“As of this minute, there are 22 dead, of which five people burned in a car, a teenager died, he was 11 years old, a Russian missile destroyed his house,” the Ukrainian leader said.
