The propagandists described the destruction of their military in Balakliya with the words “everything is under control.” Like, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to encircle the city, but the Russians “rejected” them. So Balakleya, in the imagination of the Russians, is still theirs.

On the evening of September 8, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had fired Balakliya from the occupation. Our brave heroes have already removed the shameful tricolor of the enemy and raised the Ukrainian flag. A video is being circulated online showing local residents embracing the defenders with tears of joy.
