Two men who were illegally mobilized in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass turned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for help. The MTR fighters managed to evacuate them.

According to him, it all started with the fact that a few weeks ago, a social activist and fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vitaliy Ovcharenko recorded a video message saying that he was ready to act as a guarantor for Ukrainians who were forcibly and illegally mobilized into the ranks of the armed forces of unrecognized quasi-groups in Donbas.
How men were mobilized
Two men responded to this video message. One of them remained in the occupied territory, although his family had long since left for Western Ukraine. He was selling cigarettes at a kiosk when the Russian military came one day. They bought cigarettes and forcibly took him away for mobilization.
Another man left the house for food, but did not return there. The occupiers forced him into the car and brought him to the “reception point”.
How the evacuation happened
These forcibly mobilized people contacted Ovcharenko, after which the SSO fighters worked through the material, determined the rally point and took the men away.
As Makaruk noted, they accepted them “without curtsy”, because they did not know if all this would be the basis and whether men could be trusted 200 percent. But the military SOF worked well and smoothly, and now the evacuees are in a relatively safe area and provide quite interesting information about their “leadership” and the state of the forces of the same armed groups.
This operation became possible due to the great confidence in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the MTR in particular. This became an indicator that people in the occupied territories believe and trust the armed forces of Ukraine. This is the most important, Makaruk emphasized.
He noted that now there are new requests for evacuation from the armed forces of the quasi-republics, and such work will continue.
Makaruk acknowledged that many people do not understand why these mobilized people need to be evacuated. However, he is convinced that these are people who are Ukrainians and do not want to fight against Ukraine.
“I am sure that some of them, after inspections and relevant legislative operations, will want to continue defending our fatherland already in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as this is done by thousands of residents of Donbass and the Lugansk region,” he added.
