In the Zhytomyr region, an unfortunate father and mother were convicted for the barbaric murder of their own child. They received up to 15 and 7 years in prison.
The child was killed in August 2018 in the Ovruch district of the Zhytomyr region. That evening, the father was angered by the crying of his 5-year-old daughter. The girl was with special needs.
The father severely beat the child
The husband hit the girl on the head with his fist and drove her under the bed. Only a few hours later, the mother approached the child, who had been lying under the bed all the time, hiding from his father.
The mother saw the wounds on the girl's head. The child said that he was in pain, but the woman did not call the doctors, but put the girl to bed.
The child was burned
In the morning the child was still showing faint signs of life, but the father decided that it was too late to save him. To hide the traces of the brutal murder, he burned the body of the child in the oven, and threw the ashes with the remains into the river so that the current would carry away from home.
Parents hid the murder of their daughter for 9 months. Social workers were assured that “everything is fine.” Moreover, they were shown through the window a disguised younger brother and cynically continued to receive state payments for the murdered daughter.

Since time had passed since the murder, the investigation was difficult. To find traces of the crime, law enforcement officers blocked the riverbed, where they found human remains with traces of thermal burning.
Examination established that it was a five-year-old girl. The parents did not admit their guilt in court, they shifted responsibility on each other. Completely unrepentant.
