On Friday, November 24, employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the city of Kiev are conducting searches in the office premises of the Department of Environmental Protection and Adaptation to Climate Change of the Kyiv City State Administration due to an appeal in court against the findings of the State Audit Service.

“The department provides all the necessary available documents and in every possible way contributes to a full and comprehensive investigation in the manner prescribed by criminal procedural legislation,” the message says.

The department informs that the basis for the searches was an audit of certain issues of the financial and economic activities of the Department by the Northern Office of the State Audit Service for the period from 2020 to 2022.
— Disagreeing with the results of the audit, the Department filed a lawsuit with the Kiev District Administrative Court with a request to recognize the requirements of the State Audit Service as unlawful. By court decision of October 23, 2023 No. 320/35419/23, appeal proceedings were opened, explains the Kyiv City State Administration.
