The Russians don't even try to find the truth about the war in Ukraine. They simply avoid this information, only to say later that they didn't know anything.
So says the director of the sociological group “Rating” Alexei Antipovich. He said this on the air of Channel 24.
Antipovich stressed that Russia overestimates the attitude of Russians to power, Putin and the war in Ukraine.
“People there are afraid of being detained, they are even afraid to express their point of view. Look at the number of those people who go to rallies. Compared to Ukraine, this is just a minuscule amount,” he said.
The sociologist added that a fairly significant part of Russians are in a state where they avoid information about the war. that you can live in peace. That is, they do not want to know the truth, to take an interest in it. Then their eyes will be opened, and they will say: “Oh, God, we didn’t know,” Antipovich said.
In his opinion, one should not believe such Russians, because anyone can access the Internet and learn the truth about the war.
“Another thing is that they do not want to know that this war was started by Russia, is unfair, and the like. Russians avoid this information, because then they will become uncomfortable,” summed up Antipovich.
