The Russian occupiers are actively preparing to attack in the eastern direction. With constant assaults and shelling, the enemy is trying to stop the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was stated by the head of the public relations service of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , Vladimir Fityo, speaking with presenter Yana Brenzeya on the air of the United News telethon.
“What we are seeing now is that the enemy is actively preparing to attack. We do not observe any actions to stabilize the line on the part of the Russian occupation forces. On the contrary, we see that there are constant assaults and constant shelling,” Fityo said.
He noted that the occupiers are once again trying to reach the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, thus gaining minimal victories.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces saw that the invaders were preparing for an offensive in this zone, so they prepared for this in parallel: they strengthened themselves and brought up reserves.
“Now the enemy’s main task is to stop us, to prevent us from moving. We understand this. And we understand that even the 100, 200 meters that we free up is movement. The enemy does not have time to gain a foothold or concrete, and this way it is easier to knock him out of our territory,” he emphasized.

Fityo also added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces understand that they are fighting a well-equipped army with a lot of ammunition.
The day before, Fityo reported that the enemy was not stopping attacks in the Kupyansk direction, attracting more equipment. The previous week it had been predominantly infantry.
He explained the increased use of military equipment by the enemy by saying that the weather would soon worsen – when the mud began, the soil would be viscous, so the occupiers would again have to rely more on infantry.
