Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis explained why his country refused to transfer air defense systems to Ukraine. The head of the Greek government noted that these complexes are critically important for the country.

Greece refused to transfer air defense to Ukraine

< p>Mitsotakis noted that Greece is not going to send either the S-300 or Patriot to Ukraine. The Greek Prime Minister stressed that the country was asked to do this, but the government explained why it could not do this.

The head of the Greek government noted that his country supported Ukraine in various ways, in particular defense materials.

“But we said from the first moment that we cannot get rid of weapons systems that are critical to our deterrence capabilities,” he said.

In particular, Mitsotakis noted , that if the country has a surplus of material with which to support our state, then this has already been done. And, if the Greeks can find such material, they will continue to do so.
