Motuzyanyk denied the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the East/UNIAN
The representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are retreating in the East of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said that such terminology is not very correct.
According to him, of course, in some separate areas, Russian groups have temporary tactical successes.
But the fact that Ukrainian troops are retreating there is an absolute misinterpretation of actions. In some areas, Ukrainian units are conducting mobile defense, – said Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.
He explained that this is necessary so that, where possible, step aside, change positions. Then, when favorable conditions occur, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to carry out counter-offensive actions.
In addition, he noted that there are certain territories and settlements that can change hands.
“There is a very dynamic situation, so I do not confirm the interpretation that the Ukrainian army is supposedly retreating. This is absolutely not true,” Oleksandr Motuzyanyk added.
