He explained that Ukraine addressed Spain with a demand to detain Shariy. At the request of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, he was detained within the framework of international legal assistance.

“The crimes that Shariy is suspected of are quite serious. Treason speaks for itself about himself, provides for very severe punishment. As for the violation of human rights on the basis of national race, religious grounds, this is also a rather serious article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the people's deputy added.

For us, the main result is that today (May 5 – Channel 24) the law enforcement agencies of Spain have completed the mission that they were supposed to. Then we will expect his extradition to Ukraine,” Venislavsky explained.
