US President Joe Biden still has time to make important decisions to support Ukraine. There are steps he could take without any problems.

Political scientist, executive director of the International Association of Small Communities Alexey Buryachenko told Channel 24 about this, noting that the issue of military aid for Ukraine, and any other topic, revolves around the elections in the US. This also applies, for example, to permission to strike on Russian territory.

What else can Biden do

As Buryachenko noted, for example, Biden could prioritize the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles and missiles for the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. Such a decision would not require additional consultations with Republicans in Congress. Here he has a completely free hand.

In addition, Biden has already taken an extremely important step regarding Ukraine. This concerns the acceptance of aid worth almost $8 billion.

We will receive this aid in the form of weapons in any case. Why is this important? Because on October 1, the US rebooted the budget year. And while there are elections, while it's Christmas, while the inauguration is taking place, the decision on extending aid for Ukraine should not be expected before March 2025. But, fortunately, we have a decision on 8 billion, – said Buryachenko.
