There is one place left, but it is worse than Crimea: where Russians repair military ships Angela Figin

The Russians have completely stopped repairing their warships at facilities in the annexed Crimea. After all, they are afraid of strikes by Ukrainian drones.

What helped the occupiers draw the right conclusions and finally refuse to repair military ships in Crimea and where the enemy is now repairing their ships, a representative of the Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmitry Pletenchuk, told Channel 24.

Where the enemy is now repairing ships

The representative of the Navy noted that now the Russian invaders actually have nowhere to repair their military ships. The Russians have one base left where there are repair capabilities – Novorossiysk. However, it is not even close to the repair and shipyards in Crimea, which Russia stole as a result of the annexation of the peninsula.

We have long proved to the Russians that they cannot use Crimea to repair their ships, – Pletenchuk noted.

However, before realizing this, the enemy had to lose the small missile ship Askold at the shipyard in Kerch, which was destroyed literally before it was launched, as well as several large landing ships. Only after that did the occupiers finally draw conclusions.

Has the activity of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea decreased

Over the past week, Russia has not sent its ships to the Black Sea. According to the representative of the Navy, this is another correct conclusion that Russia has made. After all, it is extremely dangerous for the Russian fleet to be in the Black Sea.

A year ago, the occupiers lost several units in a row, which was quite painful. After all, these were different classes of serious units, in particular a missile boat, another airborne cosmonaut ship and a patrol ship. This is generally a serious image and technical blow, – said the captain of the 3rd rank.

Thanks to the effective work of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the warships left Crimea and relocated to Novorossiysk, which limits their exits to sea.

The Russian fleet has effectively ceased to perform its functions. In particular, we are talking about protecting the water area, ensuring the safety of civilian shipping, patrolling, escorting and combat operations. The enemy has shifted most of these tasks to aviation.

By the way, Ukrainian Magura naval drones destroyed two Russian helicopters over the Black Sea on the night of December 31. This led to a decrease in the number of enemy sorties.
