“There will be no peace on Putin's terms”: Germany reacted to the Kremlin's statements on the negotiations

by alex

In Moscow, they again started talking about the readiness of negotiations. However, Germany is convinced that peace on the Kremlin's terms will not end the suffering of Ukrainians, which is why it is impossible.

The corresponding statement was made by German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock. According to her, the Kremlin's attempts to impose the So-called peace talks are an attempt to subdue the Ukrainians, not to end the war.

There will be no peace on Putin's terms

Annalena Burbock stressed that the peace dictated on the terms of rocket strikes and shelling of Ukrainian cities is the opposite of a just peace, and holding negotiations at that a time when part of the territory of Ukraine in occupation is contrary to international law. In addition, Burbock stressed that the absence of war does not mean peace.

We do not agree that Vladimir Putin wants to impose on us the logic of past centuries, according to which the right of the strongest is more important than international law,โ€ Burbock stressed.

Also, the German Foreign Minister stressed that now it is important to continue to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, because everyone does nothing is responsible for this.

In Russia, they started talking about negotiations again

  • The day before, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that Russia ready for negotiations with Ukraine. However, the Kremlin wants negotiations without preconditions, taking into account the goals that Moscow has voiced.
  • Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak reacted sharply to the statements from Moscow and stressed that by doing this Russia is trying to convince once again that it is not going to withdraw troops from the temporarily occupied territories and answer for their crimes.
  • In addition, Podolyak stressed that only the victory of Ukraine will help establish peace, because otherwise Russia will criminally dominate the world.
