There will be many more disasters, – Svitan analyzed Russian aviation Alina Burtseva

In Russia, a Su-34 crashed during a “training flight”. However, there may be more such disasters.

About this 24 Channelsaid reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor, military expert Roman Svitan, noting that the components and assemblies of Russian aviation, which was inherited from the USSR, cannot withstand heavy combat loads. Sometimes this happens in the air. Note that the plane crash with the Su-34 occurred in North Ossetia.

Why the Su-34 could have crashed

“That is, this is such a “big gift” from the Soviet Union to Russian aviation. Therefore, most likely, as a result of the failure of aircraft equipment, there was a Su-34 crash with the death of the crew. There will be many such disasters in Russian aviation specifically due to design flaws,” Svitan said.

They talk, in particular, about problems with the fuel system and engines. The Russians never built serious engines. The Su-57 does not reach the 5th generation, in particular, precisely because of this.

What aircraft does the enemy have

The Russians created other aircraft based on the Su-27. For example, Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35. The result is quite good aircraft that can perform combat missions at the 4+ generation level. However, they failed to reach the 5th generation of the Su-57.

They have about three hundred main sides. This is about a hundred Su-30s, a hundred Su-34s and about a hundred Su-35s. This is the main “backbone” of Russian aviation that we will have to fight in the sky, said the military expert.

Losses of Russian aviation

  • On June 11, a Su-34 crashed in the mountains of North Ossetia. The hijackers stated that the cause of the plane crash was allegedly a “technical malfunction.” The crew died.
  • On June 10, the Ukrainian military shot down another Russian Su-25. The enemy aircraft was “landed” in the Pokrovsky direction.
  • As a result of an attack on the Akhtubinsk airfield, a Su-57 was hit. This is the first time in history.
