The construction of a railway between Rostov-on-Don and occupied Crimea is one of the new challenges. Ukraine must destroy and damage the rear in order to achieve a breakthrough and win a full-scale war.
This was stated by the head of the Center for Military Legal Research, Alexander Musienko, in a commentary by the host of the United News telethon, Yana Brenzei.
“I think that now we will definitely see it, because combat operations in the winter will be characterized by attacks on enemy rear areas. There was already a statement by Brigadier General Baranov that we would strike powerfully at the occupied territory and at military targets on Russian territory in order to destroy and damage the rear. You see, they already want to build a railway from Rostov to Crimea. This is also a challenge,” the analyst believes.
The military expert noted that Ukraine needs to maneuver more actively, but this creates more risks during decision-making.

— To change the strategy, we need to more actively use maneuvers. It's a risk because it's a risky decision. This is persistence in decision making, innovation in the control system, the weapons that are needed, and where we determine the points where we can apply these maneuvers.
What is this maneuver? This is even when it is necessary to retreat from some position in order to ensure the concentration of efforts in one or two directions where a breakthrough can be achieved. It is very important. I think that's what the focus will be. Search for such places. One of them is the left bank of the Kherson region,” Musienko noted.
Recently it became known that the occupiers began to build a railway between Rostov-on-Don and occupied Crimea from Donetsk. It will pass through the territory of the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region.
