The situation with the occupation of the South of Ukraine turned out to be rather ambiguous. And it gave rise to many rumors, sometimes bordering on outright fakes, which were actively used by Russian propaganda.
The Office of the President admits that mistakes were omitted in this direction. But they will be dealt with later. This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak.
“Across the south of Ukraine. Russia entered Ukraine in very large columns in all directions. It was a big invasion of a large country that concentrated a certain percentage of its manpower in certain directions. Of course, today we cannot figure out what tactical mistakes are in one direction or another – This is a war, it is not waged perfectly. In Ukraine, they always want ideal solutions. If you don’t have an ideal solution, then you will be eaten. There were certain mistakes. Small or big, we’ll figure it out later, “said Mykhailo Podolyak.
Punishment for the guilty
However, Mikhail Podolyak assured that the guilty cannot escape punishment.
Were there any mistakes or not? Of course they were! It certainly is. There were mistakes, we'll figure it out. Responsible persons will be responsible; not responsible – will not bear. Today, the main thing is to take Kherson back, to take everything, including the Arabat Spit, – Mykhailo Podolyak emphasized.
He also reacted to the situation with the indignation of the inhabitants of the occupied regions. They did not really like the statements of Alexei Arestovich about the situation in the South and why it was occupied so quickly. He then used the term “f*cked”.
“In the South as a whole. We will definitely release it. We will definitely take back all our cities. We definitely did not lose the South. We definitely remember all the people. We know how they suffer there. We know what Russia is doing there today, that it does not let people go, that it arrests our citizens, that they create repressive bodies that break our people. There are no Russian sentiments. We all remember this. We we will definitely return the South of Ukraine,” Mykhailo Podolyak assured.
According to the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, the end of the war will be when Ukraine liberates its territories within internationally defined borders.
“Let’s all let's end this war and take our land back. After that, we'll make a normal border, a normal army, normal European economic relations, first of all. After that, we'll figure out who was responsible for what at any time. We're not going anywhere, we'll all be in this country “, – said Mikhail Podolyak.
