Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov spoke about the progress of mobilization in Ukraine. The head of the defense department compared the mobilization in Ukraine and Russia.
The minister assured that nothing surprising was happening with the mobilization. Reznikov said that the mobilization continues in accordance with the approved norms.
Reznikov explained how the mobilization is going on
“Mobilization was announced in our country when the law on declaring martial law was approved by the parliament. There are certain norms that are indicated there in terms of numbers, the General Staff knows them and we work in accordance with these norms,” he said.
The Minister noted that the reserves are replenished taking into account the losses of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
Systematic and planned work is underway, replenishment of supplies, restoration of losses, because our guys are dying, they are also injured. But there is no such “wow” as in Russia, we don’t have such a thing,” Reznikov said. h2>
Reznikov also commented on the delivery of subpoenas in the shopping and entertainment center, on city streets, in cafes. According to him, those liable for military service must register, but not everyone does this.
“Look, they have a task set by the General Staff in terms of quantitative composition in a given period of time. If they see that, for example, there were such and such a number of people in the regions before the invasion, but many moved.
If you are liable for military service, lived in Kyiv, moved to Uzhgorod, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi – wherever you are – you must go and register. Not everyone does this,” the minister explained.Therefore, as the head of the Ministry of Defense explained, the employees of the TCC are forced to “do something.” At the same time, he noted that the delivery of the agenda does not provide for momentary mobilization.
If they see a man of military age, alive and healthy, he is given a summons and he is obliged to appear. This does not mean that tomorrow he will be mobilized. He must show documents, there must be communication. Maybe he will say: “Yes, I have a draft age, but I have some reservations” or “I have 4 children.” Okay, come, show me and that's it, – the minister added.
According to him, the main array of volunteers was in February-March 2022. At the same time, he recalled the constitutional duty of a citizen of Ukraine to defend his country.
“And if you are liable for military service, subject to criteria, the security and defense sector has the right to call you to the ranks,” Reznikov concluded.

- Martial law and mobilization will continue in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted the relevant bills to the Verkhovna Rada.
- The last time the Council continued martial law and mobilization for three months, until February 19. It is likely that martial law and mobilization will again be extended for 90 days.
