The White House commented on the provision of weapons to Ukraine/Channel 24 collage
The White House said that Russia will not be able to disrupt the supply of weapons to Ukraine. In particular, because the supply chain of weapons to our state is stable.
The corresponding statement was made by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. This happened at a briefing on May 22 – on the 88th day of the war that Russia launched against Ukraine.
The White House assured that it has a stable chain of arms supply
Jake Sullivan answered the question whether the Russians really got into the weapons provided by the United States to our country. Advisor Joe Biden explained that there is no data to confirm this information.
There is a diversified and sustainable supply chain for these weapons to Ukraine. So even if the Russians sometimes manage to hit and hit this or that party on the territory of Ukraine, from a strategic point of view, this will not stop the military assistance that we provide, Sullivan explained.
He was also asked about how influenced US domestic policy by allocating $40 billion to Ukraine. In particular, the adviser to the President of the United States said that this assistance is an investment in security and peace:
- “when it comes to Ukraine, the president was very blunt – if the United States does not work with like-minded allies to counter aggression, we will pay a higher price in the future;
- so he really believes that investment in the struggle of the people of Ukraine to defend their country and investing in support of our allies living in the shadow of Russian aggression is the right investment in terms of long-term contribution to peace, security and stability.”
Sullivan also said that part of the $40 billion aid package is subject to presidential apportionment authority, allowing Biden to immediately divert equipment or services to U.S. military stockpiles without congressional approval. He also added that over the next few days, the Secretary of Defense and the US Foreign Secretary will send President Biden their recommendations on these means.
Pay attention! Joe Biden will discuss with Indian Prime Minister Narendra on Tuesday Modi Russian war against Ukraine. They will also talk about the consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine.

- It is already known where approximately $ 40 billion will go, including: $ 13.8 billion – for the US State Department, mainly for the Economic Support Fund to help the Ukrainian government do its job, 11 for weapons and military equipment, 8.7 for replenishing stocks of weapons that Ukraine has already received, 6 for helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 4.4 for food supplies to Ukraine and other European countries, 3.9 to finance European Command operations, including intelligence support.
- The American edition wrote on May 20 that they expect the United States to leave about 100,000 in Europe in the near future military personnel. However, this is a situation, unless Russia escalates and threatens Sweden, Finland or NATO members.
