After a meeting of European leaders in Paris, Polish President Andrzej Duda hopes that the West will soon be able to prepare significant supplies of ammunition for Ukraine.

According to Duda, there was one very specific proposal at the summit ”. He did not give details, but noted that “this is really what Ukraine urgently needs”.

— This is something that President Vladimir Zelensky has reported many times, and there was a very specific answer from European leaders and not only European ones, because there were also representatives from Canada and the United States. I hope that in the near future this will be possible to materialize and Ukraine will receive such assistance in the form of ammunition, — said the President of Poland.
Andrzej Duda emphasized that “the hottest debate” was around the issue of sending troops to Ukraine.
— There was no absolute agreement on this issue. There are different opinions, but in general there are no such solutions, I want to emphasize this, — he added.
During the summit, participants also discussed support for Ukraine in demining its territories, as well as assistance in training and border security.
Sending Western troops to Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron, following the summit of European leaders in Paris, said that today there is no consensus on the official dispatch of ground troops.
— But in this matter nothing should be ruled out in the future. We will do everything possible to prevent Russia from winning this war, — he noted.
At the same time, Macron emphasized that Ukraine’s partners “are not at war with the Russian people”, but they “do not want to let him win in Ukraine” .
