There is a shortage of doctors at the stabilization points: Syrsky held a meeting on the problems of military medicine

Strengthen the medical posts with combat medics and improve the evacuation of the wounded, in particular with the help of unmanned systems.

These are the issues that were discussed during the meeting devoted to the problems of military medicine and the search for ways to solve them.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to Syrsky, in the conditions of modern warfare, it is extremely important to improve the process of medical evacuation.

He stressed the need to use the latest solutions, in particular unmanned systems that can save lives even in the most difficult combat conditions.

– The current level of staffing of medical services allows them to perform their assigned tasks. However, there is a shortage of junior medical personnel at the stabilization points, – noted Syrsky.

To solve the personnel problem, since May of this year, by order of the Commander-in-Chief, 2% of graduates of basic combined arms training have been sent to train combat medics.

However, this is not enough. Now specialists are working on proposals from medical unit commanders and looking for additional effective solutions.

The meeting also analyzed the activities of the Military Medicine Coordination Department of the Medical Forces Command and the state of formation of medical battalions of army corps.

The Commander-in-Chief called on military doctors to engage in frank dialogue and noted that the development of medical services should be one of the priorities.
