In Ukraine, the situation with electricity may improve due to the onset of spring. However, the situation in the energy system will still depend on the actions of the Russian occupiers.

Energy Minister German Galushchenko spoke on television whether rolling blackouts will continue in Ukraine with the onset of spring, writes Channel 24 . He said that there is still a shortage of generation in the energy system.

Due to warming, Ukraine plans to receive more generation

At the same time, Galushchenko stressed that rising temperatures affect consumption. Consequently, during the warm season, consumption is lower, which means less risk of rolling blackouts.

Unfortunately, there is still a shortage of generation and, of course, with an increase in temperature, this affects the fall in consumption. – the minister said.

He also noted that Ukraine is counting on renewable sources, “which, in the presence of the sun, will be able to provide more generation to the system.”

Galushchenko refrained from accurate forecasts, because many , according to him, will depend on attacks by Russian infidels.

“I would not like to predict, in many cases it depends on the strikes that will or will not be on the energy system,” summed up the head of the Ministry energy.

What is the situation in the energy system of Ukraine

  • In the fall of 2022, Russia resorted to insidious tactics by attacking the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. The Kremlin's plans were to plunge Ukraine into a blackout. However, acknowledging officials and experts, Russia has not achieved its goal.
  • There are indeed problems with electricity in Ukraine, but the situation is under control. Blackouts are in effect in all regions to stabilize the power grid.
  • Ukraine's power grid has already survived 13 enemy missile attacks and 15 waves of UAV attacks on power facilities. The most difficult situation is in Odessa, where the consequences of previous attacks are being eliminated.
  • The situation in the Odessa region deteriorated sharply on February 3 and 4 due to two large-scale accidents at the substation. As a result of accidents, about half a million people were left without electricity.
  • As of February 8, Ukrenergo's repair teams managed to provide additional electricity to the region. This will improve the energy supply of Odessa and the Odessa region.
