Russia has a chance to implement its plans in Moldova. For the Kremlin, this is a coup d'état in the country, like a repetition of the scenario in the Donbass.
Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman told Channel 24 about this. Zelensky also explained what Russia wants to achieve in Pridnestrovie.
Russia wants a coup d'état in Moldova
Sheitelman noted that, ideally, Russia is striving for a coup d'état in Moldova, and it actually has a chance to achieve this. Moldova has a weak state system, and there is a Russian group in Transnistria, which is quite enough to resist the Moldovan army.
The Russians also threw a huge number of their agents there in various ways, already in Chisinau. Not in Transnistria, but in Chisinau, in the center of Moldova. Abandoned simply as tourists. At the demonstrations that took place there, local correspondents asked questions and understood that the participants did not know the language, the political strategist noted.
He added that the situation in the Donbass began in a similar way. True, it was easier for Russia to bring its “guest performers” there, because after all, the border with Russia and Rostov were nearby, it was possible to send people in wagons. There is no land corridor to Moldova.

Moldova may be isolated
According to the political strategist, if Russia manages to implement this scenario, Moldova will be isolated. No one will deal with the government that Russia will install. Such a risk exists. For Moldova, this is a disaster, because it is very dependent on European imports.
“They will not be able to deliver anything either there or from there, and they cannot attack us from there. Moldova will not last long in isolation, because everything will be cut off. Therefore, this will be a kind of victory for the Russians,” Sheitelman stressed.
