A two-year-old boy was injured by a detonation of ammunition in Chernihiv. The child has already undergone four operations, but there are several more ahead.

The fifth operation is planned for little Roman in April 2023. His mother, Nadezhda Bozhko, told reporters about this.

This will be the fifth and not the last operation on Roma's face. They will perform muscle transplantation and wait for the “germination” of nerves. The facial nerve must be reactivated in order for the face to function. The next step will be cosmetic correction – giving symmetry, – said Nadezhda Bozhko.

The woman added that only after a series of operations, doctors will start prosthetics for the child's damaged eye. Now the mother and son are in Austria.

What is known about the explosion of ammunition in Chernigov

• On September 3, an explosion thundered in Chernigov on Val during a charity fair. According to the investigation, the terrorist defense servicemen demonstrated civilian weapons and ammunition. Unfortunately, one of the munitions detonated.
