During the war with Russia, Ukraine loses 2 billion hryvnias a day. Prime Minister Shmyhal counted 3 sources from which the Ukrainian economy can recover. Kyiv has already received 3 billion dollars and this is the first step towards filling the budget.

The head of government spoke about this in an interview. He noted that official Kyiv intends to fulfill its obligations.

Three sources of economic recovery in Ukraine:

  • Russia's frozen funds – their confiscation and reparation,
  • Russian property,
  • funds from Western partners.

Shmyhal said that Ukraine is negotiating the creation of a renovation fund. Kyiv has already received more than 3 billion dollars – they are needed to fill the budget.

While we are talking about the daily expenses that the state must bear for defense, for the fulfillment of its social obligations, for supplying the country with food. Everything else, of course, will be after the end of the war – this is the next step, – the head of government explained.

Regarding the provided 3 billion, these are both grant funds and loans. Regarding the latter, this is the period of provision – from 5 to 18 years, and very conditional interest. The government intends to work to bring these percentages closer to zero in the future.
