A hospital in Mariupol is operating in appalling conditions/Mariupol City Council constant shelling of Russian aircraft and artillery. There are not enough doctors and nurses, because among them there are dead and injured.
A fighter of the Azov regiment Valeria with the call sign Nava told about this in an exclusive commentary on Channel 24. She noted that it is very difficult for doctors to work under constant bombardment.
There are not enough doctors and nurses in Mariupol
Nava said that the hospital works in in horrendous conditions – under constant fire from Russian aircraft and artillery. The conditions for conducting operations are similar to medieval ones. Doctors have to operate on people under the light of a headlamp.
There is also a shortage of doctors and nurses, because among them there are both dead and wounded. The victims do not have enough medicine. In addition, there is practically nothing to feed them
They (medics – 24 channels) work around the clock. Medicines are also lacking. Even painkillers and drugs for anesthesia, antibiotics,” Valeria added.
Therefore, the wounded, even after a successful operation, have a high risk of getting sepsis, peritonitis or gangrene.
