Discussions continue among Western allies about granting Ukraine permission to carry out long-range strikes against Russia. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on these disputes.

The Secretary General believes that the verdict on long-range strikes deep into Russian territory will depend on the decisions of individual allies of Ukraine. Jens Stoltenberg expressed this opinion in an interview with LBC.

The Secretary General supported the discussions on allowing Ukraine to attack Russia

The head of NATO noted that communication between countries is important in the issue of allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia.

These decisions should be made by individual allies, but it is important that we consult closely on these issues, as we do, Stoltenberg said.

By the way, on Sunday, September 15, British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy said that negotiations with the United States and allies on the use of Storm Shadow missiles against Russia are continuing. Thus, Stoltenberg supported the recent negotiations between US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“I welcome these events and these decisions,” he said.

But at the same time, the head of NATO emphasized that there are no “risk-free options” in war.

We have a full-scale war in Europe unleashed by Moscow. There are no risk-free options in war. But I continue to believe that the greatest risk for us will be President Putin's victory in Ukraine, the Secretary General said.
