The Russians use the temporarily occupied Crimea as a hub for weapons, which then end up at the front. Also, children from the recently occupied Ukrainian territories are brought to the island and funds are raised for socks for the Russian military and for “dragon's teeth”.
This was told to Channel 24 by a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariev. He also noted that the Crimean invaders are preparing for defense.
He said that 1939 children with parents were taken from the Kherson region to Evpatoria. As well as 48 orphans who are still in Simferopol.
“The occupiers motivate their actions by the fact that there are supposedly Nazis in the Kherson region, and they are saving these children from them,” Bariev stressed.
The military lacks warm clothes
According to him, the Russians are building defensive structures in Crimea. In addition, water was released in the North Crimean Canal.
They had done this before, but this time they released much more water. This may be due to the fact that they will use the canal to protect the Crimea, he suggested.
A member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people said that there are a lot of Russian soldiers and Wagnerites in Crimea.
“Schools in Crimea collect warm clothes for the military who are at war. This means that the infidels do not have enough of them at the front,” he stressed.
He also noted that things are being collected for the children of the Kherson region, allegedly protected. And one more thing – for the manufacture of the so-called “dragon's teeth” from concrete.
“All this suggests that the occupiers are trying to prepare for defense,” says Bariev.

Trying to “buy” people
He also spoke about the mood of Russian citizens who illegally arrived in Crimea.
Now they are actively discussing the evacuation from the peninsula, and the power of the Russian army is almost never mentioned. So far, they are not going en masse, but they already understand that they need to prepare for this,” the source said.
According to him, the processes taking place at the front are silent in Crimea.
As for the situation in the Russian-occupied Kherson region, Bariev said that the Russians are acting there in the same way as in Crimea in 2014.
“They banned the movement of the hryvnia and accuse local residents of the money, trying to 'buy' them,” the source said.
He gave an example that a kindergarten teacher there receives a salary of 30,000 rubles, while in Crimea the salary in the same position is 15,000 rubles.
“In Crimea now, as in other territories of Russia, people do not receive the wages that were offered in 2014-2015,” he stressed.
