Israel and Hamas are holding ceasefire talks in Qatar. Now they are approaching a decisive moment, and in the near future the parties may conclude an agreement. Editor-in-chief of the portal “Details” ” (Israel) Emil Shleimovich told 24 Channel that conflicting information is now appearing, there are a lot of false statements about the situation with the negotiations. However, there is no official data on their results yet. According to media reports, Israel allegedly made concessions during negotiations in the Qatari capital Doha and agreed to release 400 Palestinian prisoners serving long sentences in prison. Hamas must respond to this by releasing 40 hostages who were captured in Israel in October 2023. These are predominantly women and older people. It is also assumed that hostilities will cease for 40 days – according to the number of hostages who must be released. In addition, the gradual return of residents to the northern part of the Gaza Strip will be allowed, and humanitarian aid supplies should increase (this was a Hamas demand that Israel agreed upon). Those 500 trucks daily with humanitarian aid that Hamas wanted to receive will arrive, Shleimovich emphasized. Soon after this, the Qatari authorities announced that this information was not reliable, there is no breakthrough in the ceasefire negotiations and in the agreement on the release of hostages. Previously, Benjamin Netanyahu was part of the Israeli delegation that held the next round of negotiations in Doha, did not include IDF and Shabak leaders, but only low-level people. “He was allegedly not very happy with the way they were negotiating,” explained the editor-in-chief of the “Details” portal. Netanyahu felt that the negotiators were too soft in the early stages offered more concessions than necessary. This led to speculative publications alleging that he was deliberately strengthening his position in order to disrupt the deal. Publications are also being circulated about what Joseph Biden allegedly believes that thanks to these agreements it will be possible to end the military confrontation before March 4 – before the beginning of the month of Ramadan (begins March 10, 2024 – Channel 24). The Americans probably want this holiday the period for Muslims in Gaza passed without shelling or bombing. At the same time, these words of Biden were also refuted. “There are a lot of falsehoods and at the same time hopes, but there is no exact official information yet,” noted Emil Shleimovich. < /p>The truce can last 40 days
