The Ukraine U-19 youth team suffered their second consecutive defeat in the qualifying round of Euro 2025 (U-19).
Dmytro Mykhailenko's team lost to their peers from Slovenia in the city of Veendam (Netherlands) with a score of 0:1.

The first half of the match was goalless. The teams looked for a chance at the opponents' goal from time to time, but the players lacked precision.

The Slovenians scored the only goal of the match in the 49th minute of the second half. Its author was David Peicic, who hammered the ball into the net of the blue-yellows' goal with a diving header.
The Ukrainians responded with several shots, but without much of a threat to their opponents.
It should be noted that recently naturalized Englishman Zakhar Baumann was in the Ukrainian team from the starting minutes. Another naturalized Ukrainian, Kristian Shevchenko, appeared on the field in the 63rd minute, replacing Artem Gusol.
In the first qualifying match, the blue-yellows sensationally lost to their peers from Kazakhstan with a score of 1:2.

Two defeats call into question the Ukrainian youths’ entry into the elite round. To do this, the teams need to take first or second place in the group, or lead the ranking of teams that will be third in their quartets.
Currently, Mikhailenko's charges occupy fourth place in the group standings without points. The blue-yellows will play their next match on November 19 against the Netherlands team.
