Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that now the economy is only in the process of recovering from the shock.
According to him, in order to stimulate the economy, it was decided to fully open customs.
Denis Shmigal noted that a new tax system will also work – 2% of the turnover. In the short term, this can reduce budget revenues twice.
But even in this case, there is a clear understanding that funds for all primary needs – the army, social benefits, medicine, and other protected budget items – we have enough. This concerns planning for the next 2-3 months, – explained Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister added that Ukraine received access to EU funds – 1.2 billion euros, as well as 1.4 billion from the IMF. In addition, there is access to loans and grants. “This is our safety cushion that will cover the deficit,” Smihal added.
