There are already fewer launches: the Air Force suggests that the occupiers have a shortage of Shahids

A terrorist country has been using Iranian kamikaze drones to kill Ukrainians for several months now. A particularly large number in the skies of Ukraine could be seen after the start of massive shelling in the fall.

However, over time, it can be seen that the number of “mopeds” launched by Russia becomes smaller each time. Yury Ignat, speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the telethon, writes Channel 24.

The number of drones decreases every time

According to the speaker, Shaheeds were launched almost every night for terror purposes in autumn. Now the frequency of their use has significantly decreased. So, Russia launched:

  • 45 drones on New Year's Eve,
  • on the night of January 2 – 39,
  • on the night of January 26 – 24 .

Weapons shortage

The Air Force suggested that this trend is probably related to the shortage of Iranian drones in Russia -kamikaze.

It is also worth noting that since the beginning of massive shelling, Ukraine has learned how to effectively destroy these “mopeds”, and also receives new weapons from Western partners, which helps in this. So, for example, during a massive attack on January 26, it was possible to destroy all the drones launched by the aggressor country.

Attack by kamikaze drones on January 26: in short

  • On the night of January 26 Russia launched 24 Shahids from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. However, they were all destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, as well as air defense.
  • On that night, the invaders sent 15 kamikaze drones to the capital alone.
  • After a night attack by drones, the aggressor country massively fired on our state with 55 cruise missiles, of which 47 were shot down.
  • Unfortunately, there were also arrivals in Kyiv, Kyiv, Vinnitsa and Odessa regions on energy and civilian infrastructure, causing power outages in several areas
  • Unfortunately, at least 11 people died and 11 others were injured in the attack.
